How to install windows 7 with flash disk
HOW TO INSTALL WINDOWS 7 WITH FLASHDISK
As we know that installing Windows without a CD-ROOM is like impossible, but don't worry, there is another way to install Windows 7 without a CD-ROOM, namely with a flash drive. How, then I will explain step by step, in order to understand how to install Windows 7 with a flash.
1. First, please download the software here. 2. Insert your flash drive then open the Rufus application. Your device will automatically be detected as shown below. 3. Click the CD drive image to select the Windows 7 ISO file location. Then click Open.4. Rufus will automatically change the file system from FAT32 to NTFS. You can also change the name of the drive in the New volume label (optional). Then click Start.
5. A notification will appear that all data contained on the drive will be formatted, so make sure that you have backed up all important data. Then click OK.
6. This process takes approximately 20 minutes. This application is very fast, but it all depends on how big the size of the operating system is and the speed of the flash being used. 7. Done! Your flash drive can now be used for Windows installation media. Then click Close.
The Windows installation media is ready. The next step you have to do is set the BIOS to boot from the flash the first time. This is done so that the first device that is read at the beginning of booting is the flash.
BIOS settings to boot from Flashdisk
1. Do not remove the bootable flash drive earlier. Leave it in a condition installed on your computer / laptop.
2. Restart your computer/laptop, then press the DEL (Delete) key to enter the BIOS menu. The most common keys used to enter the BIOS menu are DEL, F1, F2, or Fn+F2, depending on the manufacturer of your laptop/motherboard. 3. You will see the BIOS menu display as shown below. After that, move to the Boot tab by using the key. 4. The following picture shows that the device at the top is the HDD. So your computer/laptop will boot from the HDD the first time. 5. In order for your computer/laptop to boot from the flash for the first time, you need to place Removable Devices at the top of the list. You do this by selecting Removable Devices, then sliding it using the +/- button until it is at the top as shown in the following image. 6. Then press F10 to save the settings and exit the BIOS menu. 7. Press any key if a black screen appears as shown below. 8. You will be faced with the initial display of Windows 7 installation as shown below. Please do the installation of Windows 7 properly, according to the guide that I have given. 9. Please select Indonesian (Indonesia) in the Time and currency format. For Language to install and Keyboard or input method leave the default. Then select Next. 10. To start the windows installation 7. Select Install now. 11. Click I accepted the license terms, then select Next. 12. I assume you are currently learning to install the Windows 7 operating system for the first time. So, please choose Custom (advanced). 13. If you want to re-install, downgrade or upgrade the Windows operating system and at the same time want the data on other partitions not to be lost, simply delete Disk 0 Partition 2 (partition C:) and Disk 0 Partition 1: System Reserved, both partitions will automatically which you deleted earlier became Unallocated Space. 14. Please create a new partition again (automatically, the partition will become Disk 0 Partition 2) and make Disk 0 Partition 2 the location for Windows 7 installation, then Next. Confused? (If you are using a mobile phone while reading this tutorial, it is recommended that you use a Chrome or Mozilla browser so that the gif image moves perfectly) For those who want to re-install, downgrade or upgrade to Windows 7 at the same time don't want the data on other partitions to be lost, please skip steps 7-10. And for those of you who are installing Windows 7 for the first time, whose HDD is still smooth and has not been installed with the previous Windows operating system, please skip step number 6.
15. The next step is to partition the hard disk space. Select Drive options (advanced) > New. Then specify the size of the partition / drive. Then select Apply when finished.
16. Select OK for making Windows system files or what is usually called a system reserved partition.
17. Please create 2 partitions in the same way as step number 7. Actually, how many partitions are depending on individual taste. In this tutorial, I only created 2 partitions.
18. Please select Disk 0 Partition 2 as the windows installation location. Then select Next. Actually, you can choose the installation location anywhere, but I suggest you place it on Disk 0 Partition 2.
19. Windows 7 installation process in progress. This process takes approximately 20 minutes. During the process, the computer will reboot / restart by itself several times.
20. Do not press any keys on the keyboard! This will cause you to repeat the installation process from scratch.
21. The next step is to enter the user name and computer name. Then select Next.
22. The next step is to create a password for the Windows account. My advice, create a strong password with a combination of numbers and symbols. As for the password hint, enter a word or sentence that helps you remember your password. If you don't want to add a password, just leave it blank. Then select Next.
23. Please enter the product key windows 7, then select Next. If you don't have a product key, you can skip the following steps without entering a product key. However, without activating the product key, you can only use Windows 7 during the trial period (30 days). Then select Next.
24. For Windows Update, please select Ask me later. You can choose Use recommended settings if the Windows 7 DVD you have is original. But if not, I highly recommend choosing Ask me later.
25. For Time zone / time zone. Choose (UTC+07:00) Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta.
26. The next step is to determine the network location. Please select Public Network.
27. If you add a password for your account as in step no. 14. You must enter a password first to enter the desktop screen. Then press the Enter key.
28. Well! Windows 7 installation process is complete.
